having not enough sleep

Keep yawning while I was typing this down.
I guess I havent had enough sleep.
I have been waking up at 5 or 6am in the morning frequently without the alarm (I set the alarm clock at 6:34AM -.-').
I don't know what happen.
Sleep late and wake up so early has becoming my routine now.
I have dark eye circles and more eye bags. Worst!
It is useless to wear the collage white eye patches. *pfft
It is not goin to work if everyday I sleep late and wake up late like that.

I don't feel satisfied with my sleeeeeeeep.
I feel like I havent sleep that long.
6 hrs sleep. Is that consider enough?
I really want to sleep like a baby.

I really need to let that stress go away!
and please stress, let me sleep like a baby this time.
more sleep, the more happy i am!
yay?

*off to shower*

Fun things to do : TieDye

These days I had so many things to be inspired.
On FASHION.
I had been insisting my friends, Zahra and Farra, to play around with tiedye.
And so we did.
We had fun mixing the colors and waiting for the results.
First attempt was a bit frustrating but as Zahra said, " There is no mistake in tiedye." XD

Originally, it was size M men teeshirts. So we dyed the shirts with cherry and gold colors. But it turned out to be yellow and pink. When we looked that the shirts look "ugly", Farra found something in youtube.com. (I so love youtube.com so resourceful with tutorials) : turning shirts into tanktop. And here goes above on the left after cutting the shirts. Then as you can see on the right side of the picture above, I made a change to the tanktop. It was like "ooohhh so neww" hahaha.

I wore the tanktop with cardigan from Uniqlo. :)

and I also made half inner turban from the left overs cut (that was the hand sleeves)

I made some changes to others of my wardrobe too.
But I will keep them for my next blog. :)

Its time to go for my class!
:)
Have a good week everyone!

Thai food

I missed Thai food!!!
Back in home country, I would go having Tom Yam seafood and Chicken Pandan after my aerobic class. But that was 9 years ago when I was taking a higher national diploma. It was fun!

Alhamdulilah.
Allowances came out finally even though it was pretty late!!

Me, Farra and Zahra went out having lunch at a Thai food restaurant near our north gate campus.
It was not much of people there.
The decorations are quite nice, the feeling of being in another country.
I felt like I was having a trip to Thailand (honestly, I've never been to Thailand ever! But I will go there! aha!)

As you walked in to the restaurant, you will see this decorations. I didn't take the picture at the corner of the place. But I managed to get to take picture of the hanging stuff near the entrance door.

Cute? I like those so much. Because they are elephants and I love love elephant.
I remembered I often drew elephants and princess when I began to learn to paint.
We ordered these for our lunch.

Fried Spicy Crab and Shrimp Tom Yam.
I especially like the tom yam.
It has the sour spicy taste.
Mmm.. yummieh.

Then after our lunch, we had cold Coconut Milk Pineapple for our dessert.
It taste sweet. :)

I was looking for this recipe and I found one.
I thought to make this I just used the coconut milk instant pack but actually there are more to add in making this. I found out the needed ingredient is rice flour.

Ok anyway, i hope everyone have a nice Tuesday.
I will be having Mid Term Assessment for my art.
I hope the results will be ok.

^__^

Busan trip

I went to Busan last Friday with other 2 friends from Brunei.
Luckily, there are 1 student from Brunei too who study in Busan so she brought us around to tour Busan.
I visited Busan frequently but most of the time, I would just go to the beach and shopping with girlfriends.
So here are some photos I took in Busan.
Not much to show to you though. XD

My outfit on Friday.
I went to class in the morning then I off to Dongdaegu station.

My Busan train at 11:14AM.
I arrived at Busan around 12PM. It took about 40-50mins and one ticket cost 15400won.
So it is kind of cheap to go to Busan than to Seoul which is cost range 39400-40000won via express train.

Our Busan tour guide. :)

And this two men was coming from Seoul and came to Busan for a visit.

So after our lunch, we headed to Jagalchi Market.
This is the view from the 13th floor of Jagalchi Market building.

I also took my chance to take picture at the 13th floor. kk

Busan is also the best place to eat seafood.
If you go to Jagalchi Market, you can find stalls of fresh fishes, alive moving octopus, dried fishes, big clams along the streets. Lots of them!!

We wanted to bring our friends to the Haeundae Beach but since the time was limited for them as they had to go back to Seoul at 4:25PM, our free-tour-guide friend brought us to the Nampodong.

Across the street is Nampodong!
Nampodong is a version of Myeongdong street in Seoul.
It is used to be PIFF (Pusan International Film Festival) area but PIFF moved to another place.
If you happen to go here, you will see hand prints of celebrities like in Hollywood (no I haven't been to Hollywood, but I would love to one day! :))

The first thing you should do when arrived at Nampodong is to try the best korean food, HOTTEOK (호떡).
Hotteok (호떡) is Korean sweet pancakes with brown sugar syrup filling. They usually add walnut or sunflower nuts with cinnamon.

Hotteok is so nice to eat while it is still hot! Mmm.. yummieh.
It is quite cheap. I usually bought 2- 3 hotteok for me to bring home but on that day, I only had one. XD
You can also make this if you want.
Recipe of Hotteok

This is Nampodong street.
On that day, there were so many people I guess because the next day was Saturday so everyone is out at the street.

As you walk along the Nampodong street, you will see this kind of golden statues.
It can be animals or people.

Me and my new friend. ^__^

Then the last destination was going to the 17th floor of the Lotte Building.
There are many keylocks everywhere.
LOVE KEYLOCKS.
Just to express love among the couples and symbolising as their eternity love.
Not much of them compared to Namsan Tower in Seoul, you will see more of the keylocks.

And yes, that was it.
My Busan trip! :D
I will have another go to Busan again.
This time Haeundae trip baby! lol.

I hope this will give you much information about Busan. You wouldn't know, maybe you will take a trip to Busan with your friends or family. :)
Have a try with the Hotteok recipe!

Have a good day everyone.
Salam.

korean food

The first time I came to Korea.
I didn't even dare to eat most of the Korean food.
Because first, I have no idea how to communicate in Korean.
Second, I have this active conscious thing of mine whether to eat this or not as a Muslim we have to be cautious what to eat.

When I was in Seoul, I always bought junk food and went to the Itaewon ( a place where we can get halal food) to buy some ingredients and chicken. That was my routine for the first, second week living in Seoul plus i spend a lot of money to buy them. Halal food/ingredients are quite expensive here in Korea.

Instead of spending my money to buy all this ingredients and move back and forth to the minimart shop, I decided to have a try with Korean food. So my friend, Brenda (she came with me to Korea and we were living on the same floor back in Seoul) she brought me to the small Korean restaurant. Before I eat anything, she will help me to check out the food whether there were ham/bacon. She told me all the food I can eat. (I really missed those times).

She introduced all this food (see below) to me.

Keiran Jjim (계란 찜)

This is Korean Steamed Egg pot.
In a restaurant they will served this while it is hot and the egg is so fluffy!
I love the taste of this, though it is a bit salty because I guess they used salted shrimp sauce.
You can try to cook this in the microwave too.
If you want to try to make this, you can get the recipe from here.

 Twaenjang Jigae (된장 찌개)

I always order this whenever I am craving to eat Korean food.
They put small clams, tofu, onion, dried anchovies and vege that similar to cucumber maybe it is zucchini.
The taste is salty too but it is nice to eat in cold weather.
I even bought the Korean bean curd paste, it is quite cheap and easy to make.

I just put the paste  as much as i can into the boiling water, and i put all the ingredients and just wait for them to be cooked. and Wallaaa!
You can make it too as long as you have the korean bean curd paste.

When I told my friend that this is my favourite food, she was quite surprised that I liked it.
She told me, foreigners dont really like the taste of this twaenjjang.
Oh well, every foreigners have different tongue. hehe

Bibimbap ( 비빔밥)

Andddd this is also my favourite. Bibimbap (Mixed rice with vegetables) ! I prefer bibimbap with the claypot. Because it taste much better when it is hot though it is expensive than the normal bibimbap. It is just only variety vegetables and eggs plus the hot pepper taste, sesame oil, seaweed. Some restaurant will give meat too with the bibimbap so if you dont want to eat with the meat, let them know. (Of course for me, NO MEAT).

You want to try to make this, go here for the recipe. Very easy!

And yep, now I can eat this like real Korean. Hahaha. *not really. I still dont like the taste of kimchi.
So, that is all for today.
I will introduce to you more of the Korean food in another time especially when I am hungry. kkk
For you readers, who will try to make one of this dishes good luck to you and I hope you all like them.

Have a good weekend.
Salam. :)

a quote of the day

I found this quote and it touches me.

"Its nice to fall in love, its nice to be in love; but that is not the end of it. There will be lot of challenges, there will be lot of growing up to do; and there will be lot of surprises that you will discover."
And I think it is true when you reached at the stage of marriage after bf-gf stage.
(I'm not married.)
